the Cacing Diaries #24- First Christmas Morning
almost 11 months
The morning of Christmas saw just the three of us – me, Dia and Cacing. We heard mass and by 10AM, we drove to the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel.

Target number 1: the pastries. So ok, they were what were on my mind but my family enjoys my indulgence too, or at least Cacing does. The brazo de oreo, a take of the Filipino classic brazo de Mercedes and the chocolate mallow cupcake were a winner and we could not get enough.

Two hours went quickly. Cacing also took a liking to the plush couches at the lobby and easily burnt time crawling and watching the world go by. The hotel also had a Gourmet Walk, a hall flanked on both sides with all sorts of restaurants and café. We would have to try them later but for now, it was just a setting for our pictorials. The garlands dripping with shiny balls and ornaments, the elegant wooden benches, the mini-fountains, the Chinese paper lamps were all a hit to Cacing.

Much later, we went to where most people gravitate nowadays, the mall. Some late Japanese lunch. More idle stroll. But as the pictures would have it, the rest of the day just could not compare with the Waterfront idyll.

Christmas had passed and the New Year is here.
So let me wish everyone to make the best of the days to come! Happy New Year everyone!

(And let me sneak one last Christmas pic. It’s her 3rd Santa outfit for the season. We’re so missing the holidays already.)

Ha! "Target number 1: the pastries" LOL Cacing has got to be my favorite child not related to me, ever LOL. These are wonderful Photos of her. Dia looks great too. Dia use to post photos of her feet, her traveling feet. This is the fist shot of her traveling toes I've seen in a couple of years, I think. Just beautiful Farl! Cheers here's to a wonderful and prosperous new year! ~Michael!
